Name: Elle Nicole Bishop Fandom: Heroes Desired Age: 24 Desired PB:Kristen Bell Desired Job: new Journalist or Waitress still working on getting in as a journalist
Sexual Orientation: Elle has never had an understanding of sexuality, for all intents and purposes she'd be considered pansexual, however she does have a preference toward men. Appearance: Elle is short, standing at a mere 5'1". Because of this, she tends to appear weak or frail, but that is most certainly not the case. She is very pretty, however, with long straight blonde hair that flows past her shoulders and striking blue eyes. Personality:
Elle can be very flirtatious when there are guys around. She's not picky, she considers any male her "toy" and loves to play with them. It's a sadistic sort of game, however. She likes to use her ability on them and the more pained or surprised their reaction, the more pleasure she gains from it. Deep down, however, she just wants to understand and be understood. Everyone sees her as this crazy person with no grasp on reality, and while she is, if people really took the time with her, maybe she'd learn.
She often comes off as childlike and innocent to people. Childlike, yes, but she's nowhere near innocent. If she doesn't get her way, let's just say she has a better grasp on her ability than most of the people who are just beginning to manifest theirs. It's the blessing and curse of having manifested early on in life. She loves her ability and has it completely controlled, but it came at the cost of her mind. She'll never be able to live a normal life because the testing has ruined her.
Elle also has an unexplained fascination with lightening and electricity. No one knows where it comes from, but during storms she can be found outside watching the lightening. During which, her eyes grow wide with awe and she can't focus on anything else, as though she's mesmerized.
History:
Elle is the daughter of another evolved human, Bob Bishop. Her mother died when she was still very young. Because of this, she's never had a true maternal figure in her life. It's always been Elle and her father, for as long as she could remember.
Her father works for a company called Primatech. It has many offices all over the country, but since they live in New York, he's the regional manager of the Primatech Research Facility in Hartsdale. Since Elle manifested her ability so early in life (possibly at six when she set her grandmother's house on fure), her father started running tests on her as early as seven years old. The tests were extremely strenuous, especially for a seven year old girl. Her body and mind couldn't handle the amount of electricity she was forced to generate, causing her current state of mind, forever living as a child. A dangerous one as that.
When she was eight, she caused a blackout in four counties in Ohio and spent her ninth birthday in a glass room with an IV full of lithium in her arm. That was the extent of her "free" life. After that, the shrinks diagnosed her as a sociopath with paranoid delusions and she has been forced to live in the facility her father works for ever since. She missed the typical teenage and young adult life that everyone else enjoys.
Her first assignment was in April 2006, she was sent with Noah Bennet to keep an eye on Gabriel Gray, who was suspected for the murder of Brian Davis. Elle arrived just in time to save him from hanging himself, though he wouldn't tell her that the reason he had done it was guilt over the very murder the company thought that he had committed. Elle befriended Sylar during this mission, causing her emotions to get too involved to do the job the way the company liked to run. She still did her best to complete the job, stealing the list of evolved humans he had and introducing him to one of the people on the list. He killed the man, using Brian's telekinesis, proving the company right.
Her first solo assignment followed in July 2006, when she was sent to spy on Claire Bennet, the adoptive daughter of another Primatech agent. The company didn't believe that Noah Bennet was being entirely truthful about Claire and needed someone to spy on the cheerleader to see if she had, in fact, manifested an ability. Being the daughter of Nathan Petrelli, a company son and Meredith Gordon, a firestarter, they figured it was only a matter of time before Claire, too, would manifest. Since Elle looked young enough to be in a high school and she was naturally curious, Bob assigned the job to her. It was a relatively fail-safe job and they hoped she could live up to her responsiblities.
In November 2006, Elle and her father took Peter Petrelli into custody. She gave him a full blast of her power knowing that he could handle it. While it would have killed anyone else, it knocked Peter unconscious. When he awoke, Bob and Elle convinced him that he was a danger and that he needed to be cured of his ability. When he consented to take the cure, they put him in a room and had him begin to take the pills. Elle called them the "Haitian pills" because they had the same effect on a person as the Haitian did (he could stop their abilities temporarily.)
In February 2007, Peter escaped the facility with another patient, Adam Monroe, who was a prisoner in the facility for 30 years. Both Peter and Adam managed to get away, but in March 2007, Elle was sent to Ireland to find Peter. She was to locate him and bring him back to the facility to stop whatever Peter and Adam had planned. When asking a pub owner, Ricky, where Peter was, she knew he was lying. Elle didn't like being lied to. She melted the metal of the door lock to seal the door shut before turning a full blast of electricity on Ricky, killing him. Her father wasn't pleased with this news and he ordered Elle's return home. She wasn't happy with her failed assignment and wanted to stay until she got what she wanted, but she couldn't.
Not long after her return, Bob took Elle to California and orders Mohinder Suresh to join them. They were on a mission to capture Claire (who they knew now had an ability) and take some of her blood for testing. They had a hunch that her blood could heal others, since her blood could heal herself. It was to be tested on Niki Sanders who had given herself a deadly virus in order to stop herself from giving it to someone else. In that battle, Claire's father ended up killed and they used the blood on him.
Elle was once again ordered to spy on Claire, but she saw her and recognized her. It was then that Claire decided to fight the Company and expose them. Once she did this, they couldn't bother her anymore or her family. When Elle reported this to her father, she was told she would be allowed on no more assignments.
A dejected Elle talked to Noah Bennet in his cell and got the story of how she became the way she was. Her father caught her talking to him and she left the room, but snuck into her father's office to see if she could find her file. It was empty. It was then, however, that she noticed a security camera in Mohinder's lab and Sylar was there. She knew if she could capture Sylar, her father would be pleased.
Sylar managed to get away, but Mohinder had informed her that he, Maya and Molly owed her their lives because if she hadn't shown up when she did, Sylar would have killed them all.
For the first time in her life, Elle was a hero.
Upon returning, however, Elle is reprimanded for allowing Sylar to get away, falling further from his good graces. That didn't matter for long, however, because Sylar broke into Primatech and killed Bob. Elle released Noah from his cell before going up to level 5 to head Sylar off. There she was attacked by him, but she saves herself by using her own ability, though it destroyed the power grid, resulting in the breakout of several level 5 prisoners, the most dangerous of the prisoners at Primatech.
Angela Petrelli took control of Primatech after Bob's death and her first order of business was to fire Elle. Forced to survive on her own, she didn't know what to do. For a while, she remained below the radar, until things started happening to her powers that she couldn't explain. She went to the Bennets for help, despite the previous negativity between them.
Claire, who was also experiencing difficulties with her own powers decided to team up with Elle this once to go to Pinehearst, where they believed they could be helped. Upon arrival, Peter is thrown from a window. He shouldn't have survived the fall, but he did. He warned Claire and Elle not to go on. Claire heeded the warnings and took Peter to safety, but Elle went on, determined to get the help she came for.
While being held in captivity at Pineheart, Elle is reintroduced to Sylar who was supposed to kill her. She yells at him for all of the pain he caused her, which only angered him in return. It was through the anger that he absorbed her power and he discovered that he didn't need to kill people to absorb the powers, he could do so through empathy.
Sylar and Elle left Pinehearst now romantically involved. Sylar was convinced he could be good, but Elle wanted to prove he was still bad. She worked to bring the evil out out of him. During the eclipse that stripped all heroes of their abilities, Sylar and Elle attacked Claire and her dad at a safe house that had been provided for her. Without their powers, Elle was injured and they were forced to retreat.
Bennet went after them and killed Sylar, but when the eclipse was over, his powers came back and he was able to regenerate despite not having the ability when he had been left to die. Sylar and Elle went to the Bennet home to kill Noah, but were transported to a beach by Hero just in time. It was there that Sylar confronted Elle about what she knew about who his parents really were. It was there that he killed her, proving that he was truly incapable of being good.
In-Game History:
Growing up, Elle lived in a tight knit family. As an only child, her parents were both very loving and very protective of her. While she loved both of her parents, she was definitely daddy's little girl. She looked up to him and admired him and he always told her how proud he was of her. Elle definitely knew that she could count on her father to be there for her through anything.
Her parents had a tendency to give her whatever she wanted. They wanted their little girl to be happy, so they would do everything to ensure that. She developed a little bit of a spoiled attitude from it, though she had more of a tendency to work for the things she wanted. It was when she fell short of reaching her goal that she whined about what she didn't get.
She was never slapped and rarely reprimanded for the things she did. This went on as she began school. Her teachers loved her, she worked hard to achieve good grades. She was a role model for the other students. Some were jealous of her and others loved her.
When she was seven years old, a new family member was introduced. Her mother's sister had a baby named Zelda. Being that she was the only person in the family younger than Elle, Elle immediately took on a protective nature toward her younger cousin. As Zelda started to get a little older, Elle started to teach her things like fashion, cheerleading and things about life in general.
After Zelda's father died, her mother leaned on Elle's mother for support, which brought Elle and Zelda even closer than before.
As she progressed through school, her popularity grew. She was on the cheerleading squad and began captaining it her sophomore year.
In her sophomore year, she also began dating the older son of a family friend. She'd had a crush on him for as long as she could remember, but he had never really noticed her. Not until then. Their relationship had been a good one. He treated her with respect, more like a princess really and she loved it. They remained in a steady relationship until she graduated from high school, then they parted amicably.
After high school, Elle began attending college. She focused more of her time on school this time around, however, rather than social events or dating, which might very well be the reason her relationship ended when it did. Through college, she also maintained a job waiting tables.
Despite allowing her social life to falter in college, she did have one noteable romance--or physical lust--depending on the way one looked at it. The relationship with Seto Kaiba only lasted a couple of months and it was anything but the conventional sort of relationship. Elle only saw him when she needed breaks from her homework or she was finished with it completely and it was an entirely physical relationship. They certainly didn't have anything in common, and what they did clashed. They both vied for control in the relationship and had many arguments over it. Elle, also being rather sadistic, brought that into the relationship. Kaiba only reciprocated because it was a sort of competition to him, but he never went nearly as far as Elle did.
After their relationship ended, Elle and Kaiba never spoke again. They ended on bad terms and were sure to argue should they see one another. It was easier to cut each other out entirely, and at times Elle will pretend it never happened.
She graduated at age twenty-two with a degree in print journalism and spent the last couple of years trying to get in as a reporter for a newspaper and continued waiting tables while trying to reach her goal.
